One of my clients runs a commercial janitorial company. When he gets a govt contract he has to pay his workers something ridiculous like 40 bucks an hour haha

Not true at all. The people that do the actual cleaning don't make shit. The guy that owns the company makes a fortune.

You can write your contract to pay your people $40 an hour, and the government will give you that amount, but you certainly don't have to give your workers that.

What a strange and ineffective obfuscation.

Military spending is approved at the Federal Level and a Janitor (making $250k+ in gross salary alone) is determined at the city level of government.

Furthermore, federal taxes pay for military spending and the lower middle class people don't usually pay federal taxes; unfortunately, they have to fork over high sales and local property taxes to pay for janitors and city governments who are fleecing them.
