The wall is fucking stupid. Yea let's stop all the people who come in and do all the shitty jobs we don't want to do from coming. Smart. Plus it won't work.
Teenagers need jobs. They can pick the blueberries and strawberries.

Funny they only do that work when there's a large number of them and they take the job from someone else because they'll work for less. Drop by Idaho and other northern states.
Most of the discussion I see surrounding the construction of the US-Mexico border wall is around the cost, but I don't see as much discussion RE: the amount of time it will take.
Even if the President were to secure the funds, a project of that magnitude (the border is about 2,000 miles in length) would take a long time. (I seen estimates a short as the OP's article of 3.5 years, to as long as 16 years.) I don't know if those time figures also include the process of acquiring the some of the privately held land through eminent domain (which would require court orders).
I bring this up because a lot can change during that time frame, so I'm skeptical that it will be completed. I'd much rather Trump use his building background on infrastructure projects like dams, railways, highways, etc. (not that those are small tasks either, but I'm sure he'd get a lot more bipartisan support for them).

It will go way up to 1985-2008 levels very quickly though
