Basil Hayden's is the bitch ass version of old grand dad bib.
(I just don't think 80 proof is legit for bourbons)

I like the high rye mashbills

Four roses single barrel is usually pretty good as is any of the wild turkey offerings.

My go to bourbon is the turkey. Btw

Generally the tough thing about the higher prices bourbons is that either they are aged a long time which can be hit or miss depending on if it gets too oaky and out of balance, or they are cask strength level of lower priced ones which can be worth it to you or not.

Agreed on Basil Hayden. If they made it 92 proof then we'd be talking.

The lack of Gin in this thread shows you guys have no class.

I have totally recently got into gin.
It was pushing 80 today and once it gets hot I like the gin cocktails. Hard to beat a strong as fuck Tom Collins.
    Not a fan of tonic.

This shit right here is literally the best Gin on the planet. I went to Finland last year for a couple weeks for work and discovered it. Get some fresh cranberries and press them into it.

It's a life changer, trust me.

Anything distilled 5+ times. Vodka is lame sauce

It's the sark of liquor. All flash. Fools everyone into thinking it's good. Loses in the end to things with more substance.
I'm never drinking that shit again.

Lol I've actually convinced my whole family that anything they make with vodka is better with gin.
    I only recently realized it.

For those of y'all that like margaritas but get sick of spending 28 bucks for fucking cointreau I've found that the new dekyuper 03 is pretty much the same but 17 bucks at total wine. Its 80 proof and real shit

Gin is for Brits with bad teeth and black people with extra juice.

    When turpentine isn't classy enough.
