GOAT
As a kid the Packers were the Gold Standard. 5 NFL championships by Lombardi and Starr with only one loss.
The Steelers got 4 out of 6
The Niners got 4 and Joe became the GOAT.
But what Brady has done is inarguable at this point. Yesterday was pretty special
I still have Lombardi at the top of the Coach GOAT though. When Bellichck can win 3 in a row we'll talk. And blowing the 2007 perfect season was unacceptable.
What the hell was going on out there?

Chinned for Brady but bellichick is far and away the GOAT himself. Lombari was In a league with like 14 teams for all but his last two titles, and there was nothing resembling a salary cap. 5 rings in the 32 team/cap era will never be matched.

Brady put himself on Jordan's level in my eyes.
For the coaching, I think you're being a little harsh on them losing the perfect season. I don't think you can coach around what the Giants did. The Giants rushed 4 and got to Brady. There's not a coaching fix for that. And it still took the most ridiculous catch in the history of catches to beat the Pats. -
The Salary Cap, no restrictive free agency, and the sheer number of teams, makes Belichick's accomplishment's unbeatable. He's now won a Super Bowl while having his starting QB suspended the first four games of the season, losing his All-Pro tight-end mid season, and being the only team in the NFL with more "gym rat" receivers than "edgy" ones.dnc said:Chinned for Brady but bellichick is far and away the GOAT himself. In this day and age with FA and salary caps, I have to give it to Belichek.RaceBannon said:This grizzled scribe is finally giving up on Joe Montana and giving the due to the new GOAT, Tom Brady. I've watched all 51 Super Bowls and the Ice Bowl where the Packers beat the Cowboys and the Packers win over the Browns.

Besides the fact that Lombardi never had to play a ranked Oregon State, He also never needed to win 3 playoff games to win a Championship. -
1967 Playoffs
Rams, Cowboys, Raiders in the SB -
Yep the 67 road might have been TUFF(er) once they added the title game against the AFL champ.RaceBannon said:1967 Playoffs

The five titles before 67 just don't compare to modern titles though. There were literally 14 teams in the league. It was barely one step above winning the Pac12. -

These are horrible arguments. Nobody else won 3 in a row. Ever. Nobody won 5 until yesterdaydnc said:

Those 14 teams had Unitas and Jim Brown and the like. -
Race was there when Otto Graham won 4 AAFC titles and 3 NFL titles.
