Al's ok. Not my cup of tea. I can't stand listening to Chris Collinsworth- that might have something to do with it. Just MO.PurpleThrobber said:
No love for Al Michaels?!?!Baseman said:Sad: Hank Stramm. Curt Gowdy. Pat Summerall. Keith Jackson. Verne Lundquist. And now, Musburger. All, once lions in the booth; today, dead or retired.
Only Nessler, McDonough, and Fowler stand in the way of the inevitable Gus Johnson and Marc Jones oligopoly.
Sad. Sad... Sad, indeed. -
This thread is worthless without @RavennaDawg

If there's one thing that really pisses me off about Collinsworth, it's that his name is spelled "Cris" instead of "Chris". Other than that, he's easily the best commentator in all of football.

Musburger is one of those guys that was on the TV when I was a kid and looked like an adult when he must have been about 16 when he started on NFL Today.
He got his gambling jones honestly, doing a show with Jimmy the Greek for all those years.
He has a big game voice. When he got demoted to the SEC Network he made Vanderbilt Kentucky sound like the CFP final
I'll miss him -

Fowler is good. He started out as the high school sports guy on early ESPN when he was about 16. -

He's awesome. -
I always thought of him as the poor mans Keith Jackson and moles on his face made me uneasy.
Will not be missed. -
