Two takeaways from Clemson

Big receivers matter. Come on down Ty Jones and Hunter Bryant! Bama had no answer for Evans and Jarrett.

OL blocking matters. Need Harris to grow this offseason. A little more time will really help QB1.

2c. UWs D is there.

We still have SmithFS at the Helm.

It's not like he couldn't line up 3 tight ends and have Daniels split out wide like last year... keep Coleman in the back field or play action him up the middle

The only takeaway is that having a big time QB makes all the difference.

John Elway never played in a bowl game

But he can catch the ball even with slippery brown fingers.

I thought the same thing. Having big WR/TE's that can make contested catches will be huge. Pettis was the only guy who could this year, but he's not even big.

Neither did Roy Lewis at UW and he won a Super Bowl.

    What now?

Did anybody say that one big time cornerback makes all the difference?

    Are we done here?

This notion people continue to have that Daniels is even an adequate receiver blows my mind. The dude can't run routes and has bricks for hands. There's a reason you only ever saw him catch screens. Dude should have been put at linebacker on day one.

A big, playmaking WR is something we have been missing since String knocked the daylights out of some civilians. Thankfully we finally have some coming through the pipeline.

Clemson also took it easy with Watson running in the 1st half so he'd be fresher in the 2nd.

Clemson also picked on Bama's 3rd and 4th corners. That tall skinny guy from Tampa and Renfro (plus their TE) did their parts.

Would've been nice if UW's D didn't have to defend Scarborough for 1 1/2 quarters too.

I'd love to see the Hooks pick up Daniels as a UDFA and covert him to D. He has the athleticism to be KJ Wright's back-up down the road (he had a great hit on ST in 2013, the season he should've been redshirting).
