This team was being considered one of the best college football teams ever until 1 second left in the 4th quarter of tonight's game. HTH.
By who? The guys on TV? Oh you're precious.
This team had a limited offense and was QB'd by a 230 Lb tailback who cannot hit the broad side of a barn. Alabama has had much more dominant teams than this. lol!
Also, just so you know, there is a 'best team ever' every two or three years in cfb. Are you 20 years old and just started watching? Jesus Christ.
I especially enjoyed them having to make up a stupid narrative of "they are the only team to beat Urban Meyer and Nick Saban back to back! No one has ever done it!"
Well no shit. They are in different conferences. If I had to take a guess I'm gonna assume that no one has ever played the two back to back.

The team with McCarron, Trent Richardson, and the dominant OL was better. They lost a game but would be favored over this year's team.
Hurts is the reason this team wasn't Saban's best. The defense was probably his best. Not the best OL either. 2011 and 2012 were dominant Alabama teams.

What about when nobody could beat Florida and Alabama in the SEC?
Point still stands. There have probably only been 1 or 2 teams that had the opportunity.

I'm not sure Saban has a "best" team in terms of historically good. All of his QB's and RB's have been shit in the NFL. His offense has always been to run it a ton and throw safe routes.
The defense has always been solid. The reality is he is better than his players. His worst season is 10-3 with a bowl win and a Top 10 finish in nine years. You only get 25 kids a year. To never fuck up in over two full recruiting cycles is crazy.
