When I watched the Streep clip on YouTube I was laughing at the people who looked like they were going to cry. What a bunch of cunts.

Par for the course....it shows just how far removed these types are from 95 to 99% of the rest of the country. It's pathetic that she couldn't realize that most people forgot about that Trump incident during a heated election while the race-based torture of a mentally disabled kid is still fresh.

It's probably the hypocrisy that bothers me the most, as if the torture the kid pales in comparison to the reporter because the torturers were anti-Trump too (and for the record, I didn't vote for Trump).

Dumbfucks don't realize that their whining pansy ass condescending cuntiness is why the rest of the country pulled the lever for Herr Trump.

We're fucking Americans. Suck it up.

Then vote again in four years.

    Christ.

I'm sure Streep's speech is going to help put people back in the seats.

    http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/06/hollywood-movie-ticket-sales

Trump is the only person to successfully turn people against the media and Hollywood.

Now, the ticket drops are more or less do to streaming options. Why should a couple spend $40 on a movie and snacks, when they can wait a few months and stream for about $5.00? Also, with so many options, the viewing public is highly fragmented, meaning the value of certain media is a fraction of what it used to be. In short, the film industry is going to start seeing a pay cut, and they aren't happy.

The reason for blockbuster comic book movies is to get people out of the house for the full special effects. Any regular movie can easily be enjoyed at home and there is no urgency to see it the first weekend.

In defense of Ms. Streep, she did show her tits a lot back in the day. She's been around a long time. She was the ex wife in Kramer v Kramer

And she had a torrid affair with Clint Eastwood in Indiana

With the new technology TV's and the sizes getting larger and larger, while also being affordable, I think going out to a special effects movie, will also be a thing of the past.

So everyone is just going to sit at home on their electronics? Remember how technology was going to reduce NFL attendance?

Most movies suck these days anyway. I can probably name only a handful that I thought were great in the past few years or so. I probably average about attending 2 movies a year in theatres. I went to a lot more in HS/College but it wasn't to watch the movie, it was for the popcorn surprise.

Are you comparing the experience of a movie theater to a live sporting event?

Those are not even close to being the same thing.

No. I'm not. I'm saying people like to go out and do shit and that won't change. Until we get to a fully electronic society.

Yeah but The Revenant kicked ass, although it would have been more realistic if Leo actually got mauled by a bear.

How is that different than boycotting any product? Entertainment is a product just like the brand of toilet paper I wipe with.

    My favorite is Leonardo DiCaprio.

The dude is all gung ho about global warming yet he flies in private jets all over the world, parties in giant yachts in the middle East has houses all-over the world.

His "carbon footprint" is bigger than Trump's ego.

His movie The Revenant trampled through prisitine Canadian territory and South America.

I love these people on their high horses.

At least he let her have it on Twitter. Impressive.

Leo has banged more hot women than is humanly possible so nothing but respect despite carbon burn.
