1.) DL came to play. That group, generally speaking, played well against Bama's OL. 2.) DJ Beavers played pretty well...for the most part. He's young is going to be a really good LB for a couple years. 3.) I know it was tuff sledding for Gaskin and Coleman, but fuck sakes why did we? abandon the run? 3.) That pick six was the epitome of why Browncock pisses me off some times.
Although there are many departures (Baker, SMJ, Qualls, and Ross), I also have hope that Browning, Gaskin, Coleman, both OT's, and the young group of DB's that await all will take a big step forward next year. If anything, I think we can at least say that player progression and development should be counted on at this point.
i didn't say it very well, but i think without the ross fumble, yes we were likely scoring and the energy of the game would have been a bit different. also, the pick 6 changed the mood as well. maybe nothing would have changed...what do i know.

Watch Psalm get absolutely hooked and held by the LT #74 with a straight shot at Bo! The view from behind the play shows it even more blatantly. So pissed when I saw this. (Not saying he wouldn't have ended up cartwheeling into the endzone, but he had a straight shot at him)
I agree, and if Browning would have hit Chico on the motion instead of the Bama DE for the pick 6, we would have been in business. Load that up and watch how open he after passing the line.
Watch the end of this video, it shows it from behind... they even use the tele to draw it up as though it was a perfectly clean run. haha espn.com/video/clip?id=18384439

Got a gif of that Bo TD run where Psalm had a straight shot at him and was hooked like a fish by the LT... only to have us then miss 11 tackles?
THIS. That shit was going on all night long. Can't blame the loss on the refs. It was our shitty offense. But UW's D played even better than the stats show, considering all the holding that wasn't called.
Then again, had he not been held, Psalm probably would've missed the tackle anyway.
i know it's sarkesque to say this, but 3-4 plays were really the difference in this game.
Yep. The Psalm non recovery of the fumble. The Budda non interception. The stupid int. by Browning. The defensive delay of game (hand clap) on 'Bama that wasn't called. The Ross fumble.
No excuses - 'Bama caused these things to happen. But, we had a chance. .
