"I know he struggled at Colorado, and I know some people think we should have conducted a coaching search, but Chip Kelly recommended him. If Kelly recommended him, I believe in him. He will keep us operating at a top 5 level."

Every coach recommends their assistant to replace them when they leave. This ensures their other assistants still have jobs and he doesn't have to feel bad when he doesn't take them with him.

Coaches recommendations are just one small step above player recommendations. They don't mean shit.

There's enough returning talent (assuming Royce, Taj Griffin and Carrington as well as some key players on defense) for next year that a 9-win season should be the expectation. Somehow I'm feeling 7-6.

I don't have it in me anymore to troll Open Season over this. Besides, they don't put up with anything anymore. I'm still there because I'm a good doggie

Doesn't mean I'm not reading threads there though. Actually brings back bad memories

Fuck Royce and Carrington. Taj Griffin should be getting the ball every damn play. Does he eat paint chips or something? Can't figure out why he doesn't play more.

Helfy had Tony Brook-James in front of him on the depth chart, and TB-J is a great scat back, but I enjoy watching Taj run more, because he hurts people the way Royce used to.
