Jake Browning against Stanford

dhdawgdhdawg Member Posts: 13,326
rewatching that game, I really hope he can channel the decisiveness and accuracy that he had in that game. He and ross were just working stanford's corners. Almost every ball was out early as well.

That's how good he'll need to be to beat bama. no brownshorts bullshit hold the ball forever and dance that we saw at the end of the year

I agree he needs to be that good. But can he? I mean dead arm, injury, got a girl pregnant (and threw away the chance for a perfect season for lack of a condom), Tedford left, and host of other reasons suggest he's shit himself.

I think he seperated or dislocated....something.....his shoulder against OSU.

The route combinations have totally changed since that game.

It's rather easy to be decisive that you are going to throw the ball to john Ross when he has a massive cushion. I wouldn't take too much from that Stanford game on his play. Stanford was non competitive in coverage.

He may very well have been playing hurt. Looked good against wazzu though.

Stanford's 2 starting corners were injured.

We still would have won because their offense blows

not all of the throws were onto a massive cushion. He hit Pettis and Daniels on a couple of crossing routes, pettis on a fade down the field, and Ross in stride on a deep crosser.
He also made a great throw on the TD to ross that made it 23-0 splitting the DB and safety. We've played bad defenses that he has struggled against at times in the 2nd half. he was perfect in that game
