He had tried to request a waiver to play without a helmet so it would be just like he’s playing rugby (it was denied). Was the 2A SPSL Mountain’s defensive lineman of the year and a first-team offensive lineman.

The physical component of boxing is the easy part. Boxing is a solo mental game as much as golf. You don't become a scratch golfer over a summer, nor do you pick up the skills to become a "boxer." Amateur boxers train alone - 6 days a week. Sacrifice social life, diet, and employment for their craft.

I like to compare Garcia scheduling workouts in a boxing gym to a 3-time Gold Glove champ. It's what I like to do.

He's a big fucker, but he's on the edge in terms of agility. I watched his film a while ago and thought he was probably not going to get an offer.
