But if Browning plays in the Playoff the way he has over the past month, it's gonna be like a snuff film. Last night, he was stiff, hesitant, inaccurate, and stone-footed. Smiff has 4 weeks to get Browning's head screwed back on straight. Novemberbrowning will get UW killed; Septemberbrowning has a chance to be National Champion.
Jake is a sophomore. He had a crappy game. He also has 42 TD's with 7 picks, 3300 yards and a solid 63% completion percentage.
In his bad performances this year, Smith had him doing shit a sophomore QB with a slightly weak arm shouldn't be doing.
IMO, calling him Brownshorts is bullshit. His poor performances can be blamed on Smith as much as Jake, IMO, and Smith is a fucking adult OC who shouldn't put his young QB in a position like that when he's struggling. It looks to me like Smith should check his own fucking head. Once he committed to the run last night, it was lights out for CU. There was really no reason for Jake to throw more than about 4 times last night. They chose to defend the pass. So just run the ball. Jake looked fantastic when he was handing the ball to Gaskin and Coleman.
I was born in 1966 and graduated from UW before you even started your attendance streak. I've seen lots of Husky football, and Jake Browning could be one of the best QB's that ever stood on the turf at HS even if he does have a shit game on occasion.
Your post just put a damper on my dooging and I'm looking to doog a little longer before considering any playoff game.
