PAC12 All-Conference Teams

No doubt some of the best players on this team got passed over but my alcohol addled mind is focused on how this young team of underclassmen is dominating the first team selections and making HMs at such a high rate. It's been a long time, probably two decades or more since that's been the case. Goddam, there's a core with serious potential in place. This Peterman guy is alright.FremontTroll said:It is hard to complain about players ranked too low or left out when >75% of starters are at least HM and we dominate the first team.
That being said two of our best players in Pettis (at WR) and McGary got left out and two more were only HM (Gaines and King.)
So yeah. Rich program problems. -

Gaskin 100% deserves First Team.

Gaines is the biggest diss. That guy is a monster, he will be a first or second round pick.Gladstone said:Gaskin 100% deserves First Team.

Hopefully in April of 2018, at the earliest.Southerndawg said:

2nd Leading rusher in PAC 12. Nuff said on that.Gladstone said:Gaskin 100% deserves First Team.

Gaines as hm is a joke. That might just piss him off enough so next year he will take on three blockers and not get moved off his spot one inch.
That will lock in Jalen Johnson and Vita as first teamers in 2017. -
Excellent to see Eldrenkamp get recognized because he has really increased his level of play as a Sr.
-
Does someone, who is smarter than me, want to take the husky list and put their star rating, person who recruited them, and seniority next to their names? Would be interested to see for sure.

Everyone is smarter than you.

2012 & 2013 were Sark classes. 2014 was the Sark/Petersen transition class. None of the guys listed above in the 2014 class were committed before Petersen took over.
-
Of 19 players collecting some kind of honors, 9 were Sark recruits and 10 were Petersen recruits.
Of those 19, 6 were 4-stars, 12 were 3-stars, and 1 was a 2-star.
Of the 13 players on the 1st or 2nd team, 6 were Sark recruits and 7 were Petersen recruits.
Of those 13, 5 were 4-stars, 7 were 3-stars, and 1 was a 2-star. -
Good shit @AIRWOLF
Also worth noting that 3/4 underclassmen on the 1st team are all UW true sophomores (Browning, Gaskin, Adams), the only other being Utah's punter. -
so your saying Sark and Peterman couldn't land a single 5* recruit?
-
It looks to me like they landed several, but the recruiting sites had some of the guys ranked wrong.doogie said:so your saying Sark and Peterman couldn't land a single 5* recruit?

I thought Baker was a 5 star by most everyone.doogie said:so your saying Sark and Peterman couldn't land a single 5* recruit?

ASJ, Kasen, and Shaq are the only recent 5 stars that I can remember.
-
Damn, thought for sure he was a 5 star. Good chit.AIRWOLF said: -

FWIW ASJ was a 4 star by everyone but Scout. Fetters 5 star.

How could you forget Donny Mateaki?dnc said:

(I just looked and it turns out he was a high 4 star also) -

How the fuck did Pat Coniff never win all Pac?
Or Darius Turner, or Matt Jones. -
Just looked at last season's list. The Huskies had a total of 4 players on the first and second team all-conference lists: Baker (1st), Jones (1st), Tupou (2nd), and Feeney (2nd).
4 -> 13 seems like a good trend. -
