What is falk doing in this clip?

Just watched the highlights. Check out the 2:04 mark when we stop wsu - again - on 4th down at the goal line. It looks like falk is trying to take the ball from the RB in some weird act of desperation.

Of course he was desperate. Mentally, he'd already checked out of Pullman expecting a UW win, Conference Championship game and top tier bowl game to launch his NFL draft early exit.

He had flashes of 12 more months living in Pullman making less money than his sisters.

He has had so many concussions there's no way of checking back in at this point.
