My kid was a 4th grader and got jumped by 3 6th graders one day off the school bus. Came home muddy, shirt torn, bloody nose and pissed.
me: want to make sure that doesn't happen next time? him: yup. Pulled out the boxing gloves and worked on a left jab, right hook combo. Simple one two punch right at the nose. Took 30 min. Later that night, door bell rings. Dad and one kid with a bloody nose stood at the door. Dad went into a tirade, something about his little cream puff getting bullied or some such shit. He finished with "So? what are you going to do about it?"
Me: want a tissue? (He was holding the blood back with his hand, it was the first thing that came to mind) Dad raged, I barked back, Dad got scared turned and left. Never spoke to him again.
20 min later, here comes my kid with a skip in his step saying simply "I took care of it" Me: care of what? ... after getting justice with bully #1 he went straight to bully #2 another bloody nose. (#3 wouldn't come to the door apparently) Escorted my kid to meet with Dad/kid #2. Explained what was happening, Dad#2 turned to his kid and said, Sounds like you deserved it. Appologise.
We became friends. -

Jesus after one gets used to reading boreds that don't make excuses for loser football, bad coaching and shitty players reading g Cougfan is like being in the twilight zone.
Everyone tripping over each other to explain how they'll be better in 2-3 years, not having a running g game is okay, getting perspective (like how their best team in years is going to the Sun Bowl). It may actually be worse than dooG central. -
