Good read, and very interesting idea that the Roman Aristocracy invented the story of Jesus as a way of trying to reduce the spread of the Jewish revolt.
They made up a story about a Jew who had never done anything wrong being crucified by the Romans, in order to stop the Jews from rebelling against Roman rule. The fuck?
Seriously, what a joke. He doesn't ever offer any actual evidence, just a bunch of theories, which are interesting enough, but not close to what he's claiming. He never attempts to put a date on this other than "first century".

I'm sure he wants a buck, everybody has to earn a living, but that in itself doesn't refute his story. Scholars have been pointing out for a while that many of the stories about Christ's life had strong parallels to other stories in earlier religions. Is that "proof" of anything? Who knows, but the idea that the Romans invented the story to keep the Jewish revolt in check is rather interesting, and rather clever. Religion is a funny thing.
