I'll sum up the NFL in one play. The Dolphins in the red zone on 3rd and 5 went 5 wide, on the snap Tannehill immediately zipped a ball to his 3rd string tight end who was immediately tackled by 2 defenders for a gain of 0.
Tannehill didn't make any reads post snap so this gives us two options. 1. He made a pre snap read. Why in gods fucking name would you ever have a pre snap read on 3rd and 5 for an immediate check down? You're basically conceding all third downs. All teams have to do is watch film and just make you read that pre snap. 2. That was the play call. Jesus.
I think people are getting fed up with the bureaucratic bullshit of the NFL.
When touchdown twerks costs players almost $10k you know their losing the cool factor
I'm for breast awareness, but do they have to dedicate an entire month to it, with pink cleats, pink towels, and pink gloves? What's next? pink penalty flags? How about you just give them a shit ton of more money and call it good, and dedicate a week for it. Hell, do a 1 week pledge drive like ESPN does for the V foundation. That'll do a hell of a lot more than pink gear.
The anthem protest ticked off a good portion of the fan base.
Do you know what a catch is? Because the NFL still hasn't figured it out.
Poorly developed quarterback play, that now have a "strike zone". You basically have a two foot window to hit them. If you miss you get flagged or worst yet fined.
What does that tell you, that a 39 year old quarterback is still head and shoulders better than any other quarterback out there?
Don't breath too hard in the vicinity of a running wide receiver, you might be called for interference.
Tickets at $300-$400 a pop for the nose bleed section is border line criminal.
Jeff Fisher is considered a successful head coach, which doesn't bode well for the quality of coaches that are out there.
Let's not even get started on their uniform policy. You can't even wear a flashy pair cleats without facing a fine. Pittsburgh's Cameron Heyward was fined for wearing eye black that honored his dead father, because it didn't fit said uniform policy.
This is just a sample of all things wrong with the NFL product right now. I'm sure you all will add more.
Oh...and they are still playing games in London in hopes they can expand a team out there. I'm sure the London team will love to travel across the Atlantic 8 times year, more if you count the pre and post season.
