I know that look: after a basket of chips and bowl of salsa, followed by the enchilada plate-extra tomatatillo sauce and cheese. That's the look of the enviable run to the shitter three hours later. I know that look.

Until proven otherwise this is starting to look
like Strausser Part 2. Thought Pete was looking
for someone who could actually win a battle with USC.
Don't need any more coaches who win a second or third
    place ribbon.

At this rate we? will end up getting Stump Nostrom and no one else.

We're always going to loose elite SoCal recruits to USC. Hope this helps.

The key is whether we can get the guys SC doesn't have room for or doesn't come after very hard.

We? can be far and away the premier program on the west coast if we? can get the second best recruits.

This is not a loss because he was never coming here. I'm sure ektard will say he was all set to come here if only strausser was still here, which is utter bullshit due to abundance of evidence that strausser sucks.

As dennis said, the true tests for Huff are still to come. Murray, Ale, Mele, Curne, etc. are all still out there.

Disagree. So, I'm as baseline hateful of Huff as anyone in existence, BUT... Dedich was ALWAYS going to USC. We didn't recruit Jaramillo very hard.

The critical tests of Metallica Boy's abilities will be on Mele and guys like Curne.

If he doesn't land MJ Ale, you can put him in jail immediately because it will be proof that he raped MJ's mom. That is what it would take to lose Ale.
So then where's the upgrade from Strausser?
Strausser would have been in on Mele, Curne
and Ale. None of those guys are world beaters.
Huff better be a wizard on the practice field because
once again he'll be starting a step or two behind
SC's talent level. And I don't agree for a second that
Dedich couldn't have been closed. Tough yeah but
the kid made two unofficials on his own dime. There
was interest there. Unfortunately big boy recruiting
isn't graded on the curve. It's pass/fail and we need
more passes when going head to head.

There just aren't many world beaters in OL recruiting this year at all. I like Mele better than Dedich, Curne is close, Murray has massive upside, and Ale is a rare human.

Any of those four guys are more than capable of being very good players.

Strausser could not recruit, at all, self admittedly too by the way. Last year the OL talent was insane and the guys we got are guys we could've gotten on the last day of the recruiting cycle if we wanted to.

Eklund strikes again. 3 or 4 days ago he said that UW was in great shape to get this kid.

If you do the math, there are more Troojan locks this year than USC has open spots. Dedich was always all USC. It was just about when they took him seriously. There are going to be a lot of all USC guys who commit to other schools only to flip when Nansen knows how many Canadian citizenships he has to offer this year.
