Petersen made adjustments
1. Terrible linemen left from Sark - he has brought in a couple of studs and coached up the other ones to be serviceable
2. Babushka - he hired Tedford to knock the stupid out of Smith (hopefully t stays this way)
3. WR never improved - he fired the WR coach and brought in a new one who not only has made Ross/Pettis on of the best in the conference... but in the entire nation.
4. A shit stable of QBs - he went out and made sure he got his guy for the next 4 years.
Took a little longer than it should have but I'm glad that when I watch the offense now I have confidence they can actually sustain a drive.

The first two years I was calling for a new OL coach.
Now I'm thinking he is pretty good, whoever the fuck he is. (I can't remember names when I'm hungover and I'm too lazy to look it up right now)
Meanwhile, Stanford's OL is going to shit. Who would have predicted this, this year? -
I still hate StrausserBaphomet said:The first two years I was calling for a new OL coach.

I don't blame Strausser for being left with a bunch of pudgy noodle armed linemen who all had the mental toughness of a kicker.
I really don't think people understand how bad the linemen were that Sark left. They were an embarrassment. No matter how good of a coach you are you don't turn that shitshow into good in your first year or even two.
Coaching matters the most but talent is also big. -
All in doogs!

Agree to an extent, but his recruiting sucks balls. Doesn't matter if you can take the leftovers and turns them into all conference types, but I think the jury is still out. Plus I need someone to hate. I can't get used to winning overnight. Healing takes time.CuntWaffle said:I don't blame Strausser for being left with a bunch of pudgy noodle armed linemen who all had the mental toughness of a kicker.

He did get McGary and Trey Adams. Nick Harris looks like he could be decent. Roberts still has time.Swaye said:

I don't disagree his recruiting could be better but I still think time will tell. I think Vera Tucker flips once we beat USC by 40 at home.
At the very least the lines improvement this year has let him go from "fire his ass yesterday" to "LIPO". -
Yeah Strauser's recruiting hasn't been fantastic, but if we keep winning, and as guys see what he can produce on the OL, we should get more OL guys interested in our program.
All I'm saying is, I don't hate him anymore. Our OL is better than both Stanford's and Oregon's. That is pretty cool. -
This is a question that @CokeGreaterThanPepsi can probably answer. What geographic region does Strauser recruit and what players is he responsible for bringing in?

I will admit that Nick Harris has been a pleasant surprise. Still hate Strausser.
