“I’d have to look down to see Cloud Nine,” UW offensive lineman Kaleb McGary said. “This was personal — a lot more than just player to player, program to program.
“This was for UW. This was incredible. This was absolutely incredible.”
Just register this for a second: McGary, Adams, Cobra and Myles are all Sophomores. Sophomores. On defense, Greg Gaines and Vita Vea are sophomores.
We are beating the living shit out of teams and we are doing it with like 2 contributing seniors on offense and 1 on defense (FUCK YOU PSALM I WILL NEVER COUNT YOU!).
Last night it was stunning to see how large the talent gap is between UW and Oregon, and to reflect upon how quickly that happened. Simply no comparison at virtually every position on the field (coaches included), except for maybe running back, and even that is a push at best. And the best part, as @Dennis_DeYoung points out, is that this is still a very young team. Wow.
So, how can anyone not be all in with Peterman and his OKG's at this point? These guys play hard, execute at a high level, and say the right things. What a way to enter a bye week. Prison rape the ducks, then spend two weeks getting healthy, refocusing, and working towards getting better so as to keep this thing rolling.
I wish Petersen wasn't such a pussy about beating the shit out of teams. "Sorry about the last touchdown," "I didn't want to score 70," fuck that.
After the horse collar tackle out of bounds in garbage time we called a fucking reverse to Ross and ended throwing it. If you can't see that petersen floored the accelerator for that td then Irish can't help you.

If you aren't excited you are a try hard like @haie trying to prove you have TUFF expectations.
Browning delivered another magnificent performance, throwing a school-record six touchdown passes and rushing for two more for the Huskies (6-0, 3-0 Pac-12), whose 70 points are the most UW has ever scored in 109 meetings between the two schools. Only once has an opponent scored more than 70 against Oregon in Eugene (when Texas scored 71 in 1941).

See my comments in the game thread. The only thing that could have made that better was Soche standing with an executioner's axe while every duck fan forms a single file line in front of him.
But Salemcoog is half right, beating both these teams is not what it was last year. Beating them the way we have is nice and shows that we're a legitimate contender, but our toughest games are still ahead.
This game was meaningful to me solely for the mass harvesting of duck tears and to see faggots jump of their wagon or make up some bullshit like "Oregons still a destination job"
Let's just not fuck this up the rest of the way just because we crushed two teams that used to be the class of the conference.

Also, respeck to McGary for that quote.
In addition: The "weak link" going into the season was wr. How do you like the position group of Chico/Ross/Pettis/Fuller/Bachelli/Pounds (Lenius who they must see something in as they are going to redshirt him) for next year? Plus add the 2 6ft + 4 star kids coming in.
Ditto on db's: Murphy and Long as true freshman would be starting on 40, and playing for 55 of the 60 Power Five teams this year. We have red-shirted both of them.
M fer's this is what re-loading a football team looks like from year to year.
Don't think for one second the players and coaches didn't get what this was all about.
They are okg's until the lights go on then that competitive spirit shit down your throat mentality takes over and that starts at the top with CP. That's why were still throwing screen passes/fades/reverses, etc in the late 3rd with our one's out there. Peterson will win with class, but NOT UNTIL whatever point he has gets made, and last night a 12 year 1000 lb gorilla was killed by this team and they let Oregon know all about it

He's just being politically correct. You watch Peterman with 7 minutes to go in the game? He had the same look on his face that he did at 4:30pm. The son of a bitch burns white hot competitiveness. He talks shit to the media. And he just plungered Shaw and Slingblade with joy and gave both of them the biggest bullshit "sorry" ever.

Yeah, a 70-point cornholing is nice, but we don't want to stroke ourselves too hard. Stanford and Oregon aren't the caliber of team they were in years past, but we can only play the team in front of us - and that's what they're doing so far, and doing it pretty well.
I've never seen the Huskies hang up 70 points, and I've seen them play some pretty shitty teams. This was a fucking dismantling no matter who the opposition was.

This. Dropping 70 on any decent team in their house is a statement. Period.
