I was in the 8th grade I think. Maybe 9th, 1980 81ish. I had never been into football at that point. I opened up the local paper and there was a 1/2 page add in full color. It had a couger with its paws on a husky helmet and a single red rose in its mouth. The text said in big letters, "A funny thing happened on the way to the rose bowl. Paid for by die-hard Couger fans." I believe a funny thing will happen saturday knocking the huskies and the pac 12 out of the playoffs, and starting the legend of the future heisman winner Justin Herbert. To those of you who think I am crazy screw off its my fantasy and im going to enjoy it while it lasts! P.S before the season started I made a bet with a coworker (I work in a casino) If the Huskys win I will take a chair in the middle of the table games pit.... and have my head shaved. Please please please Justin, be the man Saturday. Or Prukup, if he starts.
