Someone has to win the conference every year. I probably should give Shaw more credit for beating Mora all the time. -

It's not that subjective. Stanford had to lose to Northwestern AND lose at home to Mark Fucking Helfrich last year to miss the playoffs. The bar isn't THAT high.dnc said:

The fact Stanford hasn't made it is because they objectively haven't performed well enough. But making the playoff the standard is still making subjective rankings the standard. Not to mention the playoff has existed all of two years. -
There is some subjectivity in the playoff, but given how the XII is clearly the fifth major, the path for Stanford to get there is very objective:dnc said:
