As tired as I am of early season disappointments, I'm even more tired of the fire Leach crowd. He isn't going anywhere for a long time, unless he chooses to.
WSU puts below .500 coaches in our Athletic HOF. If Leach goes to a bowl game every other year, he'll get to stay until he chooses to leave, as well he should. No other WSU has accomplished that. No other coach has come close to that kind of success.
Any enough with constantly bringing up Leach's salary. That is irrelevant at this point. A win is a win. It is not weighted based on how much a coach makes.
Lastly - who the he!! would we get anyway and would he be better?
dude its non-conference. our conference record is 0-0. we can still compete for the Pac12 north and make this season a huge success. yes UW and other teams look good in NON-CONFERENCE play, so far, but let conference play pan out. our defense improved 10-fold from last week, we have 3 weeks until we face Oregon, we can make a lot of improvement by then. if we knock off Oregon, Stanford, and win the apple cup we have a solid shot at winning pac12 north

One of the first things that people who know anything about football look for in a head coach is his ability to manage a fucking game clock.
If 17 year olds that play a fuckton of Madden on their XBox can understand game clock management, then I don't think it's too much to ask a guy who gets paid to do it to do it just as well or better.
Unfortunately for cuog fans I don't think I've seen a P12, P10, or P8 coach as bad at clock management as Leach. I mean, he's not just bad...he looks like he intentionally wants to fuck his team's chances to kingdom come with his mismanagement of the clock a good half dozen times each year.

That's like ISIS saying if they defeat the US, Russia, and Turkey they have a solid shot at establishing their caliphate.
I thought we played very in the 4th quarter. The problem is for the first half the offense couldn't move the ball(although the first half looked good for the defense only 10 points allowed) and in the 3rd Q we missed wayyyyy to many opportunities. However the 4th we were firing on all cylinders, moving the ball, creating turnovers, and putting effort. We are 0-2 but if we play like we did in the 4th the whole game, I think 9-3, 10-2 is reasonable. With a sure fire win against Idaho, maybe we can get tuned up and receive some momentum heading into Oregon Stanford and UCLA. There's a lot to be down about right now, but I think we can turn it around.
5 years X $3,000,000 year buyout + $13,000,000 budget deficit carryover + $15,000,000 current budget deficit + new Preesident = can't afford Beau Baldwin
"Late in the fourth quarter, a Boise State running back on the ground kicked at Cougar safety Jalen Thompson's head after the whistle. Kicked at his head. The running back saw that the official saw him do it, and immediately launched into his defense to the official. The official (pictured above) nodded appreciatively and patted him on the rear, as if to say, ‘It’s okay, honey.’"
