    Why do south side residents shoot each other in huge numbers? We lose more there than the middle east wars. It's not the fault of the police, slavery or lack of gun control maybe some societal factor is at work here.....

    Most people do, and those that don't, it should. It would save a lot of money on the law enforcement side and could lead to higher city revenues if blacks stop keeping each other. All of the time they (and any other Chicagoan) spend trying to or succeeding at killing someone is time / money they could be doing something productive and not sucking up finite budgets / resources.
