Christ, those comments. I'm confused how Ducks even give a fuck about UW.
Tend to agree with this tho: "The pundits want Chris Petersen to become the second coming of Boise State so badly that they simply continue to predict the Huskies to perform much better than they end up performing."
" If Hoke's defense is in the top thirty in the country, the Ducks will be a force to be reckoned with in the Pac12 and perhaps beyond."
El Oh Fucking El. Top 30 in the country? Sure.
But yeah, for those years while the Yucks (LOL) were kicking our (?) Dawgs asses and the fans tried to say that they didn't care about UW anymore, the comments seem to indicate differently.

The younger ones probably don't care, why would they? It's the "older" duck fanbase. Even after the most lopsided 12 year stretch, the all time series is still 58–45–5 in UW's favor. Twelve years ago it was 58-33-5. Duck fans from the Owens/James eras still have plenty of "hate" burning in their bellies, many still see "the pick" against UW as their defining moment, the singular event that changed everything, and if they're honest with themselves, probably a little fear that UW might wake up again. It's human nature.
Edit: To the article in the OP, it's way too early to be picking these Huskies to win the conference. Any discussion attempting that prediction should be tabled until at least after game 6.
