By all accounts, Darnold was the more impressive QB at camp but Helton is picking the "stable, reliable veteran". We'll see how it goes.

If you name Browne the starter then you can always bench him for Darnold if he plays badly.

If you name Darnold the starter, then Browne will graduate transfer the second he can after the season. Bye bye depth and your injury insurance policy.
