The spectre of SMOD claims its first victim.

I'm hearing the Memorial will feature a riveting photo/musical montage to the Bay City Rollers

I know your being sarcastic, but that's a long way from the Maltby prairie country.

Given the Choices of the upcoming presidential election Jim decided death was a better option. He passed away on June 23, 2016, Everett, Wash. He was born to two stubborn farmers in Brady, Texas on January 31, 1925. He served in the US Army during WWll in the Pacific Theater as a paratrooper. (We know, pretty impressive) In 1947 he married D. Fern Austin. They spent 64 years together in nagging bliss. They moved several times over the years and finally settled in Machias, Wash. They had three children, Lynn (Susan) Lewis, Rita (Mike) Bonk, Rene (Mike) McKervey. They are the reason he balded so early in life. He worked as a barber for many years in Everett. Then went on to Weyerhaeuser and construction. He retired at the tender age of 86. In his free time he enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, gardening and Square dancing with his sweetheart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fern; his daughter, Rita and his parents and siblings; along with most of his friends. He was 91 after all. He is survived by his son, Lynn and daughter, Rene; his ten grandchildren and 20ish great grandchildren. A very special thank you from the family to Vern and Joyce Rasmussen for their devoted friendship. Jim considered himself very lucky to have such wonderful people in his life. A Memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8522 131st Ave SE in Snohomish, WA on July 9, 2016, at 10 a.m. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/heraldnet/obituary.aspx?n=elmer-james-lewis-jim&pid=180539845&fhid=10690#sthash.A9jldRbc.dpuf
