The airport is also sometimes used by Boeing 737 charter planes delivering college sports teams.

The larger planes have larger wingspans, which makes it impossible to use the existing runway and taxiway at the same time. That is a violation of FAA rules, and the airport is operating under an FAA waiver that allows operations to continue only while a solution is being pursued, Bean said.

    -snip-
The new runway is expected to cost some $100 million, the vast majority paid by federal funds.
Sending WSU down to the WAC seems like a much cheaper solution.

If doogs really were coogs there would be protests going on at this grotesque waste of public money when this solution is simple and makes sense. There's be lobbyists and online petitions and flag waving parties and whatnot.

But doogs are just coogs who don't care as much, so meh.

If Payy MurrayCoug can't get WSU $100,000,000 in federal funds from Obama's DOT to rebuild WSU's campus... In the vision of the late great Elson Floyd... Why does Paul Allen keep her in Congress?

so bulldozing the university so that a different university's players can play your university is the challenge... this feels like a sleight of hand trick.

What's wrong with Lewiston Airport? Only 35 miles away from Martin Stadium.

You have to ride through Lewiston and all the traffic lights, then that switchback road. ugh

If they expanded Lewiston instead, WSU wont get $100,000,000 in Federal transportation dollars to rebuild their campus
