Two years ago talk was, imagine how good Seattle will be when they get serviceable receivers

When they resigned Cam everyone said they paid too much.

When they resigned Wright everyone said they paid too much.

When they resigned Wilson plenty of idiots said they paid too much (including those present in this thread).

Now they have resigned Baldwin and a bunch of people think they paid too much.

Schneider's trade record is spotty but everyone of those players that everyone freaked out when he resigned them have proven to be worth their deals and more. Add the monster but worthwhile deals for Sherman and Thomas that have clearly worked out and the deal for Lynch that worked out and the only extension you can criticize Schneider for signing was Percy Harvin's, who they signed before he had played a down in Seattle.

I'll wait until he actually misses on one of his own guys before I freak out over ADB's deal.

I admire your optimism in spite of evidence to the contrary.

You shouldn't pay big money to WRs if you want to win. Simple fact.

They won in spite of their offense.

We'll play this out a little further:

2015 Champs - Demaryius one of highest paid players
2014 Champs - GRONK one of highest paid players (lines up more at receiver than tight end)
2013 Champs - Harvin one of highest paid players
2012 Champs - Boldin 3rd highest paid player

So yeah, the Hawks are doomed.

That's a different argument. Giving a big salary to a receiver didn't prevent them from assembling a great defense, even with the most overpaid single season QB of all time on the roster.

If I'm being honest, I think we end up with another "surprise" winner this year. Someone no one expects right now. I'll think about it when I start watching the NFL after Thanksgiving.

Baldwin hit his stride last year. Completely worth it.

Baldwin would be all-pro if he were on the Patriots/Packers/Steelers. He's just really good at everything a receiver has to do.
