Maybe I'm wrong, but there's no way that the overly prideful French people will submit to being ruled by a superstate, unless threatened militarily.

This pretty much ends NATO if this were to happen....but it won't.

The only reason the U.S is in NATO now is because NATO provides the U.S with a majority market share in weapon distribution. Without the surplus in weapon sales, the U.S would have left a long time ago.
