with an iPad is a miserable experience.

Check out iPad poasting and editing superiority guy ^^

I would tend to agree that the iPad experience needs work. Miserable might be an overreaction. Not even pathetic. But it could use some crisping.

if you have any concrete suggestions let me know and I can forward them to the designer.

Can't paste in the comment section. Sometimes the comments section goes "dead" and you have to close the keyboard and reopen it to get it to respond. Not a n iPad issue but it would be better if images could be pasted directly into the comments box and if when quoting the quote and HTML tags didn't show up in the comments box.

Navigating the comments section on an iPad is frustrating. Have your developer give it a whirl, he'll probably get an idea or two.

Sounds like Derek needs to talk to both his developer guy and his iPad guy.
-
Might want to check with the media guy too. Will this be available on DirecTV?

On the other hand, if you provide suggestions that clearly have no thought put behind them, you're gone.DerekJohnson said:if you have any concrete suggestions let me know and I can forward them to the designer.

Here's what the designer said: If they can give some more information on how they're using it, for instance what orientation they use the most, and what they'd like to see I can take a look. Information like @MikeDamone gave is very useful.

I use it horizontal. Does the developer have an I pad to test with? It's difficult to go back and fix a word in the message if you try to position the cursor with your finger. I usually have to close the keyboard and reopen in before I can start typing again. Also, pasting into the reply box doesn't work.
Are you dealing with complaints in the middle of the store these days. -
I'd second the issues MikeDamone has described and add that the drop down for the smileys does not seem to work (on an iPad).
