According the the USC Scout guys, Brandon Huffman now believes that Henry Bainivalu is headed elsewhere. Anybody paying Doogman to verify this? They start talking about it at around the 35:23 mark.
1. Predict every kid that shows any interest at all to your local school.
2. When they inevitably go elsewhere just reach into our pre-stocked grabbag of excuses. Feel free to use multiple excuses for the same recruit:
-You were right before you were wrong, things change out here.
-Blame your customers for being overly involved in the product you sell
-Distance- works either way. In-state kid? Just wanted to leave. Out of state? Parents won't travel.
-Blame the kid for being an idiot.
-Local school didn't really want him anyway
-As an "expert" you have secret info that you can't disclose (consider getting a "chat" in which you can shamelessly make stuff up)
-Academis
-Minimize loss by pointing to secret sleeper recruits that staff is busy hiding from rivals

You're wrong. Scott Eklund assured everyone that UW was pulling in a top 5 class after going 5-4 if Sark had stayed at UW. It was confirmed by Peter Sirmon.Gladstone said:

Well they did have the possibility of pulling a top 5 class at the time, so technically they weren't wrong; at the time. There are a lot of ups and downs in the recruiting game. In related news, Michigan just picked up their 4th (possibly 5th) OLine commit for this class. Henry may be off Michigan's radar at this point even if he wanted to check them out.
