If you can get into a great school like UW through luck, like him...the simple solution is just switch to American Ethnic Studies, get a 3.0 and then go part-time to a 3rd-4th tier grad school for a year or 2 -> make easy 50K+/year. Now he's going to be sweating the rest of his life just to make shift manager at some retail store.
