True but don't discount home field advantage.
Cuog won there last year
Well they were tanned, rested, and ready to rumble after that easy season opener the week before against Portland State.

Hey Orange Slices, have some real nice seats for you and Grun right near the bathroom in Rutgers Stadium for the opening game vs, the Huskies,
One way to take in Seattle history is take a tour of Sick's Stadium. It is located in the Central District, formerly the colored neighborhood but now about half amazon employees in $3000 a month apartments and the rest airbnb rentals. Also, the Paul Allen Material Wealth Museum is good -- located from about the Space Needle to Capitol Hill. One way to experience the charm of Seattle is to spend a night in the Jungle, a hospitable and charming campground open to the public near the freeway south of the city center. That is also where many people live year round rather than pay high rents.
Best place to hop on a ferry would be Capitol Hill. Lots of options with regard to timing and type of ferry. Before the game/after the game, big ferries/small ferries, pitch/catch. Not a ferry guy myself, but to experience the Seattle scene, I think ignoring the cultural significance of the Seattle ferry lifestyle would be doing any outsider's trip a disservice.

While you're at it, take a detour to the International District. Here you can get Chinese food at 1 am. If you duck down one of the alleys, there's a little club called Wah Mee. Rap on the door three times and shout "Pin Suk Foo." When the door opens, head on in for a big dose of heaven.
