    That said, I didn't see anything about $15/hour in that article.

    Any of you guys that are worried that paying people $15/hour is going to cause unemployment in your job sector... should look into upgrading your job sector.
    It's not our jobs that we're worried about you egotistical douchebag. It's the elimination of the entry level jobs that you and your Gods think should be living wage jobs, that will put them back on your cherished government roles.

    For the record, I think the idea of a "living wage job" is stupid. People should not expect to live alone in a one bedroom apartment on minimum wage, let alone support a spouse and kids.

    Do what I fucking did... work you way through college sharing a 3 bedroom place with 4 dudes (yeah, one guy slept on the couch).

    I do agree with many liberal ideas, and I'm pro labor, but I agree that the living wage idea is fucked up.

    That said, is $15/hour really that hard for small business to afford? I wouldn't know, I've been in corporate life for the past 25 years.
    Yeah, it's not 2005 anymore. Just go to college and you'll be a success is a fairy tale.
    Get a REAL degree, you'll be fine.

    It's weird because my quarter at UW cost like 180 dollars in the mid 70's. I hated college so I bounced around until I started in construction. Back then no degree was required. As the years went by the whole construction management scam started and now you need a degree.

    When college was affordable you didn't need a degree. Now that you "need" a degree and the government is backing the loans the cost is insane.

    We always loved the college guys in the construction trailers. They didn't have a clue or a chance against a wily veteran like me.

    You could start at the bottom and work your way up and learn the REAL way things worked while doing so. There are a lot of yutes today who could thrive in that.

    If you want to be a doctor or a lawyer or a master of the universe on Wall Street go to college. Otherwise take my fellow republican, APAG's advice and work hard and good things will happen. Most of the time.

    The state used to cover way more of the cost back then too. Now most of their budget comes from tuition.
