GOP candidates Ted Cruz and John Kasich also spoke at the event, but Palin stole the show with her 14-minute rant. Palin began endorsing Trump in January after former Republican candidate and Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney slammed the reality TV star.
She told the crowd: "What the heck are you thinking, candidates? What the heck are you thinking when you're actually asking for more immigrants — even illegal immigrants, welcoming them in." Palin added: "Even inducing and seducing them with gift baskets: 'Come on over the border and here's a gift basket of teddy bears and soccer balls.'"
Palin is usually an idiot but there are plenty of bleeding heart types who feel sorry for all the illegals.
There's some that post here who feel that way.
I'm aware and it's a complicated issue and the United States' policies (especially NAFTA) have some culpability here, but it doesn't mean that millions of people get cart blanche to migrate to a country without any papers or documentation. I'm personally fine with walls and compared with all the fucking wars we engage in, the expense isn't as great as some would lead us to believe. I guess Haliburton, Northrup Grummel, Boeing etc. don't get no bid contracts for walls though.
You wall supporters do realize that almost half of illegal Mexicans in our country came here legally, right? They overstayed their visa and became illegal. And since 2008, more than half of illegals entered the country legally.
I'm not for harboring illegals and I think we should deport illegals when they are convicted of a crime. That being said, a wall doesn't accomplish much. Don't you think there's a reason it's never been built?
