Too bad... I thought Cooper offered solid depth.

Some walk on trying trying to get noticed in practice horse collared him and brought him to the ground only to tear his acl....we all know the rest.

Hopefully he earns the starting spot at San Jose.

Never heard that part of the story.
I witnessed it. It was absurd. And he pulled him down on the sideline basically out of bounds.

His name was Deontae "Aemon" Cooper. He came to us from Perris, CA. A Maester of the Sarkisian era, ACL chained and torn, and sworn sole UW PhD candidate, ever faithful. No man was wiser, or gentler or choked more in big games. At the stadium, a dozen UW leaders came and went during his years of service, but he was always there to counsel them. He had the ligaments of a emaciated Dragon...but now his fire has gone out. And now his Watch is ended.

Hope for the best for Cooper ... best move for him to get some playing time and will allow some of our younger players more opportunity to work into the depth

This is the classiest post I have seen in sport.
I know right? I didn't even know they made Tequilla in Nebraska.

Running back Deontae Cooper will leave Washington and spend his seventh college football season at San Jose State.
    Yes, seventh.

Cooper tore ligaments in his knee during the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons at Washington and was granted three extra years by the NCAA. He spent those years as a reserve running back for the Huskies, but also as an inspirational team captain.
