So I know you assholes will flood this thread with pics of Bears....but am thinking of flying to Frisco (I like to call it Frisco...I like to do that) in November for the Cal game and take the wife (shockingly she's female).
I have never been and was wondering what areas you guys recommend for a young married couple that has two young kids that don't ever get to do shit. Stay in Union Square...Fisherman's Wharf? That sort of thing.

Might try the Cinch Saloon or Powerhouse if you can sneak out after putting the Missus and kids to bed.

If you haven't been, Alcatraz Island is kind of interesting. Especially considering they might close it soon for tours.

Basically you want to look for this theatre...

Then, the best way to have fun is just to stuff your pants with bandanas just like this. It's kind of a local thing, but it definitely marks you as a 'local' and not a tourist:

Might want to head to the Tenderloin.

If you want to show your affiliation to UW in a polite way, just wear purple then a gold colored bandana is sure to make you some friends at a Cal Bears party:

People will talk shit, but I like the Marina. It's right next to the Presidio and Golden Gate and has all the bars, restaurants and shops you could want in walking distance or a quick uber. It's essentially a young adult frat party, a lot of douche baggery and pretentiousness, but still a good time.
Mission is pretty overrated and grimy, North Beach is pretty cool and right by Broadway where all the strip clubs are, if you two are into that kind of thing. -
You have to do Alcatraz, it's honestly the coolest tourist thing I've ever done. Shit I live here and I go back anyway.

Marina is a good spot if you're not into crackheads or human shit. So maybe he fits into the 2% of the board that meet either of those stipulations.Doogles said:People will talk shit, but I like the Marina. No, yes.Doogles said:Mission is pretty overrated and grimy
It is only overrated if you don't like burritos and/or Guatemalan gangstas.

I am going to reclaim Alcatraz Island soon so you better hurry.
