From "defenderdawg":

Truth be told, it will be better to be in the NIT where we have a good chance of winning the whole thing. In the NCAA tournament, we'd be one and done.

Wow wow wow. Couldn't have a more black and white anti-UW agenda. Like a corrupt senator whispering in Marcus Aurelius' ear telling him to name Commodus his heir.

You should ask them if they're rather go to the Las Vegas Bowl instead of the Rose Bowl?

I've heard that the NIT gives out participation trophies as well. Would be good for our kids' self esteem.

*it would be great to play in the NIT so we can have a couple more home games to pack HecEd.

The fans deserve it, and so does romar.

And on UW's probable 9th place finish after losing 7 of 8 "jaelaar" says "I'll take it. We were picked to finish 11th.

    and Kim Grinolds:

"Is the team better than last year? Yes"

    lmaoooo

BREAKING NEWS!!!! The Romar for lifers (fetters, dawgnews, oregondawg) have come up with the new excuse that we can't get rid of Lorenzo because the athletic dept is running a deficit, and we can't afford to get rid of him.

That was a close one. People had shot so many grand canyon size holes in their thesis/logic on why he should be given a lifetime contract they almost had nothing left to stand on, until this one popped up.

Hey Einstein's, if this team had went 8-22 this year or goes 10-20 next year because of a (hypothetical) locker room split, the UW would find the money necessary to make a change, if they had a perm. AD sitting in the chair.

    Try again boys.

I seem to recall this deficit shit being brought up by the TSIO podcast regarding reasons for not having a lengthy AD search and hiring Cohen ...

I seem to also recall this being noted as a reason why Romar wouldn't be fired ...

To say that I'm not surprised would be an understatement

Better to marry a 5 because a 9 would just cheat on you.
