The "progressive" left refers to conservatives as low information voters for the same reason they use PC bullying tactics and cast aspersions on all of whom they disagree with. It's about taking control of the narrative on any and all positions they support, and making it "uncool" to oppose them. This tactic often allows them to use unsubstantiated/unjustified shame and embarrassment as a tool in ramming their ideas down the throats of their sheeple and concurrently making it uncomfortable for their sheeple to question them.
