As he enters his first of two years with upperclassman status he can rewrite the publics perception of him easier than most might think. If he takes a step forward and becomes unstoppable on 3rd downs everyone will forget his struggles playing as a true fresh and then with a true fresh at QB. Close your eyes and imagine how different our season might have been had we completed say 10 more passes on 3rd down??!!! ( yes it got me hard too) 20-30 and I'm contemplating throwing all my porn away...our D with a decided TOP advantage??!!!!
So the true junior that's played with a shitty Jr QB and worse OL only to follow it up with a true fresh QB behind a green OL is already sentenced to death by every teen lesbian in the 80's fantasy??? Pettis is gonna have a huge year! Stencil that into Grace's fade.

Losing our two edge rushers - Feeney and Littleton - is not insignificant in a conference of passing offenses. Kawasaki is great, but even he would be happy if somebody would fill this void. Is Mathis finally going to fulfill his potential coming out of high school, or do we have to rely on one of the many unproven youngsters: Potoa'e, Beavers, Bartlett, Warren, Manu etc?
Pettis is a new whipping boy? He's a pretty good player. He's never going to be a true #1 WR and he's never going to be a guy a defensive coordinator loses sleep about. He's merely a solid WR. Nothing wrong with it.
@RoadDawg55 - watch some of our games to refresh your memory. Pettis' problem is that he played like a lump of shit. He didn't fight for balls consistently. He ran routes too shallow, he got stopped by rubs, etc.
Pettis has real talent in my opinion.
For fuck's sake the fucking WR coach got fired. Pete said we didn't get performance from our receivers.
Pettis underperformed. He might not make it back, but last year wasn't indicative of his ceiling.
He is a classic shitty coaching victim. He was promising as a frosh, played slightly worse as a soph. If that's not shitty coaching in action, I don't know what is.
Pettis and or Lineus need to figure it the fuck out
This was my first thought as well. I think Pettis is the most important WR because he has shown the ability to be our best all around receiver. We have a bunch of specialized receivers with glaring weaknesses/the inability to even do well at the things they should be good at, but very few guys who have the ability to be solid all around receivers. I guess Renfro would fall into that category as well. I'm not very optimistic about it because Bush Hamas isn't edgy enough to qualify as a churchmosque school coach. I hope he proves me wrong, but he looks like a boof timer.

He is a good player who we should have redshirted if we could afford to.
He is cash on punt returns, just needs to be more consistent in blocking and route running
His skills/toughness are for shit, though.
