I'm arguing on another board with some idiots who are democrats and Bernie voters who are claiming he isn't a socialist. Staff?? True??

I watched some of that debate last night. I will give Bernie credit - he is wiping up the floor with Hilary. If that is your belief you should go with Bernie. He will at least try to do what he is saying

I just don't know what socialism is. That's what I'm hearing. The government gives shit away for free all the time so it's a good idea for college. Plus, the wealthy really didn't earn their wealth and they should pay. Also, the middle class won't pay a dime!

He's not a socialist in the traditional sense. AKA, he's not a Marxist trying to begin a communist revolution in America (socialism being the first step before communism is achieved). He calls himself a democratic socialist, and has explained the difference multiple times.

He is threatening to break up big banks, reinstate Glass-Stegal 2.0, and hold Wall Street execs accountable for causing the financial recession. He also wants the undemocratic influence money has been given over politics (Citizens United) overturned. A REAL republican like Teddy Roosevelt would be proud.

BTW, now that Rand Paul has dropped out, Bernie is the only candidate left that actually wants to limit government intrusion into personal information.

But free college and universal healthcare will make us communist China according to some of you.
He won't do any of that... But it sure sounds cool to the college crowd.

He has a point on Glass Stegall and how it helped the crash but the housing market was the straw that caused the houses of money to collapse. You can't fix one without the other. The bad mortgages were also because of gubmint policy.

If politicians go to jail with the bankers fine. But all that is fighting the last war anyway.

We need Wall Street and we need to watch Wall Street. We?

He did call for a revolution last night. Probably wants the streets to run red with the blood of capitalists

"Wall St" (the fuck is a Wall Street) didn't CAUSE the recession per se. Look at the government for that. "Wall St" made it worse by operating under the assumption that the US real estate market couldn't fail and the poor credit and lack of savings by the general populace didn't help either. If you're really looking for scapegoats you'll find them everywhere, but none of it was possible without government interfering in private markets. Simple fucking fact.

Don't you mean "government rolling back regulations to pre great depression"? It was deregulation that allowed the banks to fuck America.

Disagree. In the short soundbites I heard, any time he gets pressed on something He goes to the Wall Street card. When Hialry asked him how to pay for free school for everyone, He blurted out something to the effect of ... "Wall Street already stole the $$$ to pay for schools".

We get it. Wall Street is full of thieves and hucksters. And you allegedly have no "SuperPac" donors. Tell us what you are going to do about the thieves and hucksters. We already know what they have done. He seems like a one-trick pony to me who will be easily shredded come Super Wed morning.

The best part is. When people like you blame socialism. Then point to bills that deregulated banking as the cause. Then still think it's socialism.

Like I've said, many have painted him as some kind of extremist or outlier, but in Europe he would be center left. Look at where he is in that pole page Chester posted.
