After wearing the only shirt that matches his hair, the guy on the right has to wake up tomorrow and decide whether he wants to purchase more matching purple shirts, dye his hair again to match a different shirt he owns, or wear the same dirty purple shirt he wore yesterday and be that guy who wears the same shirt every day.
When storming the beaches of Normandy in WWI, soldiers didn't have to face these kinds of tough decisions. All they had to do was show up and try to fire off as many rounds as they could before dying.
Damn...I can't even make a satirical post about this without getting a little choked up. Mad respect to anyone, living or dead, who fought in that battle.
Yeah not like there's any millenials fighting in the military now.
I find your post to be not only off the mark but also disgusting.
I'm not saying that modern military fighting isn't dangerous, because it most certainly is...
...but these days the US military only fights against people that have vastly inferior means of resistance. We're the strongest military in the world BY FAR and we've only fought the world's most pathetic armies for the past few decades.
WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, etc....that was not the case. We might have been superior but it was more evenly matched, and thus a lot more people lost their live

Softer yes. But also less racist, less homophobic, less religious and more educated than any american generation before. And Lady Gaga has actually helped there.

Or maybe I just got whooshed, I don't know.
How many people dodged the draft for WW2?
I do agree there are pussies now. But your portrayal that everyone wanted to fight a war is laughable.
