my understanding of this is that they have a good cause, but that I don't like some assholes taking over federal property. They were lucky the Feds were still walking on the eggshells left over from Waco and Ruby Ridge or else this would've ended two weeks ago. It's unfortunate they were such terrible PR operators, because there are legitimate questions to ask about how the Feds extracts resources and ignores the actual needs of rural communities out west. Their failing was in not engaging with the Paiutes against the Feds, would've had a lot more support.
