Here is a parallel for you, as I said in your column yesterday. Montana State scored 26 points against Colorado-mesa. mesa a Rocky Mountain Conference team just as Western state is. An almost perfect rematch spread.
Conclusion?? Either ISU has gotten real good, or Montana State is way over rated. We will know Saturday when Montana State plays North Dakota U.
I really think this washington game is not about win or losing, nor is it about how bad ISU loses. The score has dropped from 60- to 59. Is that possible? I say no. I say 45.
But if ISU can score 20 points or better they win in the stats. Maybe even 15, because the spread is 53 points giving ISU only six points. So every point over six for ISU and every point under 59 for Washington makes ISU a winner.
Really, it is going to be wide open mystery. Can ISU put the brakes on Washington--Washington a much older team?
