Did Mitch finally decide he couldn't take it anymore?
I do feel sorry for him. He sounds completely miserable on the air. He's held that station up for years now and he doesn't even hide his feelings anymore about being surrounded by complete idiots.

well, to be fair, he surrounds himself with idiots on purpose. He's had some talent around him, Fish, Sandmeier, Rock Star Bob. But he either chases those guys away because he doesn't really want anyone around him that is any good and has a following (Fish or Sandy) and he gets rid of them for a yes man. And if a guy has any real talent, he moves the fuck outta Seattle (Bob). He's perfectly happy with a couple of idiots like Slick and Fain. No pressure to actually have to produce.

I actually know Mitch and Sandy a little bit (local personality superiority guy) and, off the air, he's an incredibly funny and good dude and would fit in here. Sandy and Fish were not his decisions, though he did think Sandy would do better as a primary guy and not as a sidekick and pushed for that. KJR, like all of radio (radio insider superiority guy) hates talent and is notoriously cheapskate. They'd rather have Glee Club watchers with no talent like Fain who don't rock the boat then deal with personalities... hence the rise of Jack FM and all that. The Sandy deal was a $ thing. I actually lol'ed a lot back in the Sandmeyer days. He would fit in here perfectly. I'll send him an invite.
