Tolls are regressive.
I.E. These tolls don't really effect Chatch much since he makes 7 digits per year and is generally better than the rest of us.
OTOH, it adversely effects the majority of the population, especially guys in mother's basement who are trying to be on time for their shift at the Kirkland Arby's. Even if you make say $100,000 per year, the tolls add up.
It's the same as sales tax. Notice how much that has gone up over the past 20-30 years?

How else are we going to pay the state's highest two compensated employees? If you think the tolls are bad now, what happens if either- or God forbid both- Leach's or Peterman's teams win 10 games, win a meaningful bowl game, and get a raise(s)?

I actually agree with this. The lack of a consistent third leg on the tax stool hurts a lot of people. Older folks feel the pain with the property tax in rising real estate markets. Washington would be a very appealing place to live. -
