Race Bannon and I were both there in November 1981 at Husky Stadium when Marcus Allen became the first to go over 2,000 yards in a season. Our PA announcer Wendell Broyles even acknowledged the feat.

I hadn't realized how few backs had gotten to 2,000 -- which is why I included that link.

Would be awesome to see Gaskin do that -- though I'm not sure Pete/Smith like running enough to make that happen.
