So called extremists can drive change. Not too long ago you would be an extremist for wanting gays to be able to marry and for marijuana to be legal. And I'm sure there are examples of this from the right. Well, maybe.

Disagree. The center DNGAF about gay marriage and weed. The center is smart enough to stay out of that shit. The center wants fiscal responsibility and stay the fuck out of telling them what to do in every facet of their lives.

The center wants their guns AND the right to choose abortion.

Agreed, but that's not we're being subjected to. The whole concept of individual liberty has been distorted to the point that individual liberties are under constant attack, particularly by the progressive "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" crowd. Classical liberalism and the idea that "your rights end at the tip of my nose" is essentially dead.

No, honestly. Why should I give a flying fuck about what someone puts into their body? Whether that's smoke or a penis.

I'm sure there are health care costs associated to a very small percentage who get lung cancer or FBA but that's a drop in the bucket compared to potential tax revenue from the vice(s). Whatever has been in place for the last 70 years sure as fuck ain't working. If Peterman ran the same play for 70 straight snaps, he'd be shot at the 50.

You can dissect every issue to minutia if you want to - and that's what the extremist right and left do to keep the center off balance. Until such time as the center says 'You are crazy as fuck' and throws out those in power for someone on the other end of the spectrum. Because, honestly, what person in their right mind run for office these days? You have to have a massive ego to subject yourself to that kind of daily scrutiny.
